Five spice London broil

Meal: Supper; Portion Size:  4 ounces;

Ingredients

2 pounds

beef, flank steak

1 tablespoon

chili powder

1 teaspoon

ground paprika

1 teaspoon

ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon

ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon

ground cinnamon

Preparation

  1. Trim steak from all visible fat. Coat with non stick pan spray.
  2. Combine five spices and divide evenly over steak.
  3. Sear the steak on a flat top grill or char broiler and cook until an internal temperature of 145 F is reached.
  4. Slice thinly, at an angle, across the grain. Portion four ounces onto serving dish. Hold hot for service.
