Grilled peaches with chocolate and almonds
Meal: Dessert; Serves: 6; Portion Size: 1/2 peach, 1 tablespoon chocolate sauce, 2 teaspoons of toasted almonds; Prep: 10 minutes; Cook Time: 10 minutes.
Ingredients
3 medium-sized peaches
1-1/2 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1/2 ounce heavy whipping cream
4 tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted
1/3 tablespoon olive/canola oil, 90/10 blend
Preparation
- Cut the peaches in half, remove the pit and toss with olive oil.
- On a preheated grill, place peaches over medium high heat until browned and heated through, about 5 minutes total. Alternatively, peaches may be sliced and sautéed in a nonstick pan over medium high heat.
- Meanwhile, bring cream just to a boil, remove from heat, add chocolate pieces and stir until melted. Serve immediately.
