Hurricane Helene left a harrowing path of destruction across the Southeast including many parts of South Carolina. 

If you have been affected by the storm and its aftermath, keeping pertinent emergency information at your fingertips is essential. Many resources are available to South Carolina residents as the recovery process continues. 

Here is a list of trusted statewide resources for times of emergency: 

  1. SCEMD.org – Visit the South Carolina Emergency Management Division website for information related to the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. 
  2. 866-246-0133 – For questions about the state’s Hurricane Helene response, call the South Carolina 24-hour Public Information Phone System. 
  3. 9-1-1 – Call for life-threatening situations. 
  4. 2-1-1 – United Way’s 2-1-1 is a free service that provides information to those seeking resources like shelter, food, water, recovery support and other basic needs. For non-emergency assistance from the United Way of the Piedmont, call 864-860-1644, text "HELP" or "AYUDA" to 211-211, or visit sc211.org.
